We firmly believe that churches and Christian organisations that are led well by joyful, faithful leaders can have a great impact on the many people they lead and the communities they serve, and that by supporting leaders we can also help them avoid many harmful practices that would have a detrimental impact on the congregations and communities they serve. We aim to do this by providing a range of training (Formation), support (Refresh) and resources through a network of experienced Christians of proven character around the UK who are captivated by the grace of God and committed to the glory of Christ and the spiritual health of those who lead his church. Staff Phil Sweeting View all: Affiliates Associates Staff Trustees Phil Sweeting Chief Executive Officer Country: England Areas Covered: Midlands, Online, Nationwide Phil Sweeting stepped into the role of CEO in September 2025 after more than 20 years of church-based pastoral ministry. He has had the privilege of serving in churches in Sussex, Surrey and the Midlands, both in larger established churches, and leading a team planting a new fledgling church. He’s increasingly astonished by the grace of God and delighted to be able to serve the wider church as he leads the team here at Living Leadership. He’s married to Katie who also serves as a Living Leadership Associate, and they have three wonderful children. Pastoral Refreshment Conferences Based upon the current guidance available, it is still our intention to run our Pastoral Refreshment Conferences (Central & Lakes) in person at the respective venues. We are committed to keeping these Conferences as safe as we can, to ensure everyone can relax and enjoy the event. To that end, we ask that all attendees take a Lateral Flow Test before attending the event. In line with government guidance, we will also wear face coverings (unless exempt) in all applicable areas of the venue.
