Associate Alistair Magowan View all: Affiliates Associates Staff Trustees Alistair Magowan Associate Country: England Areas Covered: Midlands, Online Alistair came to faith in Jesus as Saviour and Lord from early age. He has over 40 years of ordained ministry in urban, university, rural environments and senior levels. Experiencing the challenges and pitfalls as well as privileges and blessings, passionate that leaders remain rooted and grounded in Christ and fruitfully focused. Alistair moved into regional and national roles after 20 years of parish ministry, when his wife Louise was encouraged into and accepted a post as a pastoral minister in a church. In 2014 she was ordained. Over the years with different and varied contexts we have both learned from the challenges of being a supportive spouse. How We Work We are committed to serving others with integrity within their needs and interest, and three key policies undergird how we do this Safeguarding Policy The Living Leadership 'Safeguarding Policy' describes our approach to disclosures about abuse and allegations of abusive behaviour by people working in the name of Living Leadership. Download Network Commitments The Living Leadership Network Commitments are the set of principles to which all our ministry staff, Associates and Affiliates subscribe. They include principles about how we work with Christians and churches whose theology and practice in matters that are not covered by our Statement of Faith are not identical to their own. Who we are Living Leadership exists to see Christ glorified in the Church through leaders who joyfully abide in Him and faithfully serve Him Our mission is to contribute to growing disciple-making leaders in the Church by providing training, support and resources that promote gospel faithfulness and lifelong fruitfulness in ministry Our values Our values as an organisation are grace, generosity and passion for the glory of God. These values are explained, expressed and elaborated upon in three statements that govern our work. Our Statement of Faith All of our work rests on this foundation, aims to be faithful to this and seeks to promote unity on the basis of agreement with these truths. Staff Phil Sweeting View all: Affiliates Associates Staff Trustees Phil Sweeting Chief Executive Officer Country: England Areas Covered: Midlands, Online, Nationwide Phil Sweeting stepped into the role of CEO in September 2025 after more than 20 years of church-based pastoral ministry. He has had the privilege of serving in churches in Sussex, Surrey and the Midlands, both in larger established churches, and leading a team planting a new fledgling church. He’s increasingly astonished by the grace of God and delighted to be able to serve the wider church as he leads the team here at Living Leadership. He’s married to Katie who also serves as a Living Leadership Associate, and they have three wonderful children. It is a task that is often entered into with trepidation, uncertainty, and a great deal of emotional stress.
