Mental Health training for church leaders, including children's and youth workers Menta health First Aid We are keenly aware that mental health is important. But if we want to support people really well, we need evidence-based, accurate, knowledge and skills. Mental Health First Aid is a qualification recognised in over thirty countries. In about 16 hours of training, you learn about maintaining good mental health, what makes people unwell and how best to support them. The Adult course is focused on those who are over 18 years of age, the Youth course is on the ages 8 to 18, though there is significant overlap between the two. We’ve been to PRC most years over the last 14 years – and in the years we’ve not been able to come, we’ve noticed the difference for the rest of the year... An oasis for church leaders and their spouses to rest, recuperate and rediscover the wonder of God's grace in Christ Our annual Pastoral Refreshment Conferences offer people in Christian leadership and their spouses and opportunity to get away and receive replenishment for their souls. They take place in February every year, in two different locations. Who is it for? Pastoral Refreshment Conferences are intended for Christian leaders and spouses (where applicable) and others who carry significant leadership responsibility in a church, for example as an elder or church warden, or Christian organisation. What do people say about it? PRC Participant There is a real sense of the Lord's presence. Refresh Network Online a community of church leaders and their spouses together for refreshment, encouragement and prayer. Refresh Network Online An online community for gospel encouragement and refreshment, for Christian leaders and their spouses Refresh Network Online is for leaders in churches and Christian organisations and their spouses, in the UK and Ireland*. This is not like other networks, which may expect you to give or do something for the network, but one in which you will find encouragement and support from us along with others who love Jesus and His Church. Meetings are hosted on Zoom and last one hour, including: Inspiring bible-grounded content about soul care from an experienced leader; Breakout groups facilitated by seasoned leaders to discuss and pray together; Feedback of ideas from the groups to the whole network. Being in ministry is like being an endurance runner in a hot climate and you can easily become dehydrated; these sessions are a place to get fresh water. What Refresh Network Online participants say about the sessions The network usually meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 10am (during term time).
