Cassells spent most of his working life in student ministry with IFES (International Fellowship of Evangelical Students), within the Irish movement and as part of the Europe team. From 2007-2019 he also served as part-time pastor in Hillside Evangelical Church, Greystones. Him and his wife, Hazel, have been married since 1977 and have 4 adult children and 7 grandchildren. He also enjoys reading and loves watching rugby.
